I’m a clinical social worker with over 15 years of experience treating a variety of emotional concerns. My clients appreciate my approach: authentic, warm, curious, active, and able to offer challenge when needed. I strive to use my sense of humor in work that is often heavy. I believe the “fit” between therapist and client is a crucial part of treatment success, and encourage you to give feedback on how things feel between us throughout our work together.

My specialties include young adult issues, relationships, depression, anxiety, trauma, workplace challenges and general feelings of being 'stuck.' I have particular interest in couples therapy and sexuality, including issues of pelvic floor dysfunction/painful sex. I completed a two year postgraduate couples therapy training through the Psychodynamic Couple and Family Institute of New England, in addition to The Gottman Method Level 1 couples therapy training. I have also attended workshops on a variety of sexuality topics at the South Shore Sexual Health Center. I am a kink and poly friendly therapist.

I have extensive experience working with the LGBTQ+ community and am honored to support clients around sexual orientation, gender identity, and the coming out process. I am happy to offer resources for LGBTQ+ inclusive medical care, and can also provide gender affirming surgery evaluations and documentation as appropriate.

In 2017 I completed a certificate in perinatal emotional complications (depression and anxiety during pregnancy and the postpartum period) and have enjoyed adding this specialty to my practice. I am thrilled to work with new parents who are getting their sea legs, and navigating the changes in their relationships that often result.

In 2019 I began offering EMDR treatment for trauma, and am pleased to see how effective it can be for symptom relief.

I’ve trained in a variety of addictions settings, and help clients who are curious about exploring their relationships to substances. I pride myself on welcoming clients who may not be ready to make changes in their behavior yet, and can offer a supportive non judgmental ear as well as a place to evaluate what role alcohol or drugs have in your life. I also support family members in facing the challenges that come with a loved one’s problematic substance use.
